Longroute from Cagliari, Italy

We have similar wild orchids here in Sardinia or probably even the same species. I'm not a botanist so I can't say. I remember having photographed one of those long ago, if I find it I'll post it here.
This is a very good shot, with splendid light, good framing and clarity.

@Longroute: Langroute, This is a hybrid species. None of the parent species occur in Sardinia, so it is impossible this hybrid can be found there. You are probably referring to Dactylorhize insularis, an orchid species with yellow lip and some red points on it. This species is closely related to Dactylorhiza sambucina, one of the parent species of this hybrid. I posted some images of Dactylorhiza sambucina yellow form a few days ago. I did not visit Sardinia yet, but in the comming years i surely intend to visit the island to search for its orchids. Thanks for your comment and let me know when you find your archived images of orchids.
