Sphaerophoria scripta - couple

Sphaerophoria scripta (NL: Grote langlijf / EN: Sphaerophoria scripta / DE: Gewöhnliche Langbauchschwebfliege, Gemeine Langbauchschwebfliege, Gemeine Stiftschwebfliege / FR: Sphaerophoria scripta) is a European species of hoverfly. They can complete a full life cycle in as little as sixteen days (egg to egg-laying adult), and a maximum of nine generations may occur in a single year. Length of the insect is about 10 mm.
