Posted by Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 25 July 2012 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

Tenthredinidae spec. (NL: Bladwesp, Zaagwesp – Larve - soort onbekend / EN: Sawfly – larva - spec. unknown / DE: Blattwesp - Larve – Art unbekannt / FR: Tenthrède - larve – espèce inconnu) The Tenthredinidae is the largest family of sawflies, with well over 6000 species worldwide. Larvae are typically herbivores and feed on the foliage of trees and shrubs, with occasional exceptions that are leaf miners, stem borers, or gall makers. The larvae of externally feeding species resemble small caterpillars. They go through complete metamorphosis.
If anyone can help me with a more accurate determination I will be very gratefull.
