Adscita statices (NL: Metaalvlinder / EN: Green Forester / DE:Ampfer-Grünwidderchen) is a moth of the family Zygaenidae. It is found in Europe. The wingspan is 25–28 mm. The larva lives on Rumex acetosa and R. acetosella. Hibernates as larva and pupates in a cocoon near the ground. The adults fly from mid May till early August. They are active during the day, especially on sunny days when they vist flowers of various herbaceous plants like Trifolium sp., Echium vulgare, Carduus sp. or like in this image Dactylorhiza maculata.
