Crete 2010 #27 South coast - Souda

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 10 February 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

In April 2010 I made a photo-trip to Crete. The main goal was surching and documenting the wild orchids and endimic flora of the Island. I already posted some of the species back in april (all images posted between 23/04/2010 and 15/05/2010).
In this series I will be posting mainly cityscapes and landscapes taken on the island during that trip.
For me it is a good occasion to review my images and select only the best and most representative ones from this trip.

@Aubélia: Dank je, Aubélia ! Groetjes !

Beautiful and warming. Are you still inundated with snow? We are, and below zero temperatures. A little nippy outside ;)

@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: Snow is gone here for a while now, but the weather is still too droopy to go out and make images. I'm begging for the sun but for the end of the week predictions are: rainy and maybe snow again - temperatures around zero ... Spring will come...once ...

Julie Brown from Indianapolis, United States

Ah, flowers! Such an inviting scene.

@Julie Brown: Many places on the south coast of the island look very inviting, but weather conditions can be very harsh there. It is great to visit with warm and nice weather like we had that day. Greetz !
