Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 13 January 2011 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

The same subject as yesterdays post : two entangled sprouts of Humulus lupulus covered in snow and ice, only a different part of the same plant.

Belle finesse!

@Olivier: Thank you very much, Olivier.

Don Levesque from Saint John, Canada

Beautiful macro! Love the details of the crystals around the vines. Well done!

13 Jan 2011 1:03pm

@Don Levesque: These are not vines, Don, but Common hop. Vines are just very rare in Belgium :-) The flower cones of the Common hop (known as hops) are used in the production of beer - and isn't Belgium known for his famous beers ? :-) Thanks for your comment again. Greetz !

manisha from east london, South Africa

Veronique from Sarrouilles, France

I prefer this one !!

13 Jan 2011 3:33pm

@Veronique: Is there a particular reason for prefering this one ? That's the interesting part for me ... :-)))

Candais from Lisieux, Canada

This entire series has been lovely

13 Jan 2011 7:31pm

@Candais: I'm glad you like the black and white series so far, Candais. I'm enjoying experimenting with the conversions of some old images.

@marc battault: Marc is always generous with the stars ... :-))) Thanks mate ! Greetz !

¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨ from Neverwhere, United States

This one is a bit brighter and I like that, yesterday's was more details. I think still far better than I can do, or want to do in the cold. I applaud your tenacity, even if they are older photos.

14 Jan 2011 12:15am

@¨‘°ºO Dutçh Oº°‘¨: It is always very difficult to compare two images. I'm just curious the way different people look at my images and why someone likes a particular image more. So thanks for your opinion, Kristen ! (And I have to admit that going out in the cold to make images isn't my favorite ... )

Veronique from Sarrouilles, France

the wave makes it more interesting :-)

@Veronique: Thanks for the addition, Veronique. Greetz !
