Stropharia aeruginosa #2

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 21 December 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Stropharia aeruginosa (Echte kopergroenzwam (BE) / Verdigris agaric (EN) / Grünspan-Träuschling (DE) / Strophaire vert-de-gris (FR)) is a species of fungus in the Strophariaceae family.

More info on the species: see yesterdays post.

In this image I focused on the beautiful textures in the ring-zone and the stipe and the unusual color combination of the green-blue-grey colored cap with the brown surrounding autumn-leaves.
