Coltricia perennis #2

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 29 November 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Coltricia perennis (Echte tolzwam (BE) / Tiger's Eye (EN) / Dauerporling (DE) / Polypore vivace (FR)) is a species of fungus in the Hymenochaetaceae family.
More info on the species: see yesterdays image.
For this image I chose a top view to stress the concentrical colored rings with the contrasting green of the moss plant (politrichum sp.)
