Julie from Le Cannet des Maures, France

Superbe, j'adore ! On peut imaginer la vague qui se retire et laisse ses dessins sur le sable ! Un superbe voyage !

@Julie: It indeed looks like the marks left in the sand from waves. Interesting how some structures in nature seem to repeat in different settings ... Thanks for commenting again, Julie. Greetz !

Marilla from Turku, Finland

These fragile lines are very attractive!

17 Oct 2010 6:53am

@Marilla: It is hard to imagine that these fragile lines are just the underside of the cap in previous image... isn't it ?

Christine from Duns, United Kingdom

Fantasic macro, Marilla is right so fragile

17 Oct 2010 9:55am

@Christine: It is always worthwhile to look at the underside of a mushroom ! The diversity in gill-patterns is immense and combined with the spore-colors is an entire new world opening. So don't forget to look on your walks, Christine, and enjoy !

Florence from Paris, France

An amazing macro Johan, what a great illusion it makes. It's beautiful and poetic... as an opened book.

@Florence: Thanks, Florence. I think without my explannation it is very hard to know what you see here ... but maybe that is the interesting part of abstract macro ...

Marleen from Netherlands

Alweer een waanzinnig mooi abstract! Prachtig die golvende lijnen:-)

18 Oct 2010 2:07pm

@Marleen: Dank je, Marleen. Kan je geloven dat dit gewoon de onderzijde is van de voorgaande foto ? Wonderlijk rijke wereld hoor - die paddenstoelen ...

Julie Brown from Indianapolis, United States

Excellent close-up. It looks like waves of sand dunes.

@Julie Brown: This image I like myself very much. So I'm realy happy with all the comments on this one. Thanks, Julie.

Dutçh from Chicagoland, United States

Like fine leaves of paper.. very nicely done. Also would be a good texture.

21 Oct 2010 4:18pm

@Dutçh: I'll hold this as a pure abstract texture-image. I never used "textures" in other images (processing with PS or so) and I just will not do that in the future either - I want to create my images the moment I release the shutter with a minimum of postprocessing (only the RAW - JPG convertion).

GIPSY ELENA from Basauri, Spain

..simplicity yet beaty..
