Chania old harbour #3

Posted by

After a 5 day return-journey I finally arrived home from Crete. I'll post some images from the first day for now and hope to respond all previous comments during the next days. Too tired for now :-)

Marleen from Doesburg, Netherlands

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

I love this strong foreground, glad you decided to take the whole shadow in.

@Curly: Thanks Curly . Indeed, i think the shadow really makes this picture.

Self-Indulgence from Chicagoland, United States

Nice rustic image of the boat.

@Self-Indulgence: Just think there is too much empty air ... but i can't make clouds :-) (And i refuse using photoshop for that !)

Frederike from Rostock, Germany

@Frederike: Thanks to the wonderfull Cretan light ....

daniela scharnowski from Berlin, Germany

This is great! Extremely lovely and well composed ;)

@daniela scharnowski: Glad you like it :-) Not my regular kind of making pictures - but a holiday is more then nature so ... souvenir picture :-)

I think actually the sky is the balance to the beach.. clouds are interesting but not necessary here. I have a couple images where the sky turned out totally white and people thought I cropped out the sky, now that is real empty space. :) This is good.
