Series: European Terrestial Orchids

Dear friends, blog-followers or ocasional visitors,
I left for a phototrip to Crete. So I'm posting some images from last year (about the same period) for a little while. (No mosses anymore ...)
I'm not giving any further explanation on these images, but the title is the scientific name of the species so for those who are interested - see Google :-)

Please DO comment these images, but I apologize for the delayed answers I hope to catch up again about 18 april. Meanwhile I hope you can enjoy this "older" work!

There is that beautiful soft light again. I like the saturated color against the background.

You chose the perfect color as background, it really accentuates the fuscia of the flowers.

@Self-Indulgence: The background are just sunlit dry leaves... Together with the species of the previous day, this orchid is the start of the orchid season in Belgium. Always happy to see them again :-) N.B. This picture was chosen by the Orchid Organisation of Holland for their poster on Native orchid species... the first picture officially published :-))) I was really happy with that.

Wow Congratulations for that!

@Aubélia: Je hebt blijkbaar de moeite genomen om een heel eind terug te bladeren in mijn foto's. Leuk is dat. Bedankt voor je bezoek en je commentaar en steeds welkom.
