Campylopus introflexus #2

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 24 March 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Series: Belgian bryophyta

Campylopus introflexus (Heath Star-moss - Grijs kronkelsteeltje) seen from above. I tried for the first time a panoramic crop (2/6). I tried to accentuate the curly structures this way. So let me know what you think about that. Thx !

@Ralph: Tja, het is dan ook een kronkelsteeltje :-)))

Hé dat heb je mooi gedaan zo, ik vind het geslaagd deze formaat van foto

24 Mar 2010 4:16pm

@Patricia (✿◠‿◠)❤: He he, toch iemand die iets over het formaat zegt. Blijkbaar vinden de anderen het niet echt geslaagd en eerlijk gezegd, hoe langer ik er naar kijk, hoe minder de foto me lijkt te boeien... volgende keer maar weer beter hoop ik. Nog een leuke avond, Patricia.

musical moss !=) the curly ones are really cute!
I guess you sing to them while shooting!

@daniela scharnowski: Daniela, I am a professional flute-teacher, but while making pictures I normally leave that instrument at home... remember the effect the one in Hameln had ? :-) Thanks for the lovely comment !

And this one reminds me of noodles. So often one type of life imitates something else and depending on where we come from we might see different things. Well taken image. Btw.. a flutist photographer would be really fun to encounter!

@Self-Indulgence: You certainly have got a point here, Kristen. In Middle Ages people attributed even medical features just by the form of plants. Many common plant names still refer to that. I think this moss should be called "Noodle-moss" in the US. (But I don't know you can find this specimen there...) Maybe once I will come to take a look :-)))

*LOL* That would the most funniest picture- fluting a bunch of moss home ;))
Have a great day Johan!
