Twins (Euonymus europeaeus)

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 6 March 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Spring is the most wonderfull season for me. Nature awakes in the most beautiful forms. I'm mostly surprised by the unexpected symmetry some plants can show ... Euonymus europeaeus (European spindle - Wilde kardinaalsmuts) - the picture showing the first leaves on one of the few uncultivated specimens left in the neighbourhood.

Indeed, nature's artistry is exceptional. And I like the richness of the color as well.

@GJC: I tried to count the kinds of green once ... had to stop ... :-) Every green is different, even the same leave at a different time of the day ... Wonderfull indeed. Thanks for stopping by and commenting again, GJC.

Beautiful!
Reading your profile page I find similarity to our adventures among nature and the need for coffee. It would take a patient soul to join me.
Great work.
