Corylus avellana - Full flowering

Posted by
Johan Dierckx (Wijnegem, Belgium) on 4 March 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Details of the flowers (male and female) of Corylus avellana (Common Hazel - Hazelaar) I showed a few days ago (23 - 25 Feb). Meanwhile temperatures here are less cold and the sun has shown for a few days now. So these trees now show full flowering. Golden flowers in the golden late sunlight.

Ralph from Overijssel, Netherlands

Marleen from Doesburg, Netherlands

Florence from Paris, France

Your focus really creates a wonderful DOF, bright and shinny. Well done for the crop.

@Florence: Thank you very much for your visit and nice comment. I really like working with a very limited DOF.
N.B. This is a 100% crop of the original picture.
